141 East Town Street
Built in the late 1960s, the medium size, four-story office building is located on the southwest corner of Town and Fourth streets. With an adjacent 65-space parking lot, the downtown building is within footsteps of the State Capitol, the Hyatt on Capital Square, the Ohio and Southern Theatres, the Riffe Tower, Huntington Center , and the historic, urban German Village community - increasingly rare attributes for most buildings in cities of equal or greater size.
In 1999 Calgary Real Estate Development Ltd. purchased the building for redevelopment for $1.6 million. A planned $200,000/$300,000, six month renovation followed.
Calgary Development partners, attorney Jim Havens and real estate appraiser Samuel D. Koon, purchased and renovated the 20,000 square-foot building. Havens Limited, Samuel Koon Appraisers, Calgary Realty, Kagay Schellhaas Accountants and Willis Law currently occupy the facility.
