
Wesley Gilliland
Wesley Gilliland graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business in 2007 and is completing his final year of law school at Capital University where he received the Presidential Merit Scholarship and is ranked first among students in the 2010 graduating class.
Wesley has also had significant legal experience while in law school, working as a law clerk at Terrance A. Grady & Associates Co., L.P.A. where he focused on complex federal tax litigation cases. He has been an extern for Judge Marbley of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, during which he participated in and wrote judicial orders and accompanying opinions for several federal court cases. At Capital he is a member of the law review, and received CALI awards for having the highest grades in classes involving civil procedure, business associations, the law of amateur sports, and secured transactions.
At Ohio State, Wesley was the recipient of the coveted Campus Merit Scholarship and the Scarlet and Gray Merit Scholarship. In addition, as an undergraduate he was employed by Casto, a large commercial real estate company based in Columbus. There, he gained experience assisting brokers and leasing agents in acquiring tenants before moving to the company’s legal department where he worked closely with in-house counsel.
A Columbus native, he attended Bishop Watterson High School where he was a member of the state championship football team. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, traveling and attending sporting events.
